THE BRIEF

The Fin House project is an architectural project is about building a small office home office (SOHO) which incoporates work and personal activities within the same building. The requirements of constucting the SOHO is based on the needs of a fictional client, in this case, a lanscape artist living together with his elderly parents.
THE CONCEPT
The concept behind the design of Fin House is to incoporate the elements of the client's artworks, such as curves lines and linear lines, into the exterior facade. The intention is to showcase more of the curves at the exterior facade. However, I have decided to design it in such a way that will stand out from the surroundings by incoporating both linear and curve designs. Thus, the design of using fins was birthed.
Sketches of the exploration of fins. The exploration comprises of how the light and shadow affects the fins, how the thickness and design of the fins affect the exterior facade and the different shapes of the fins.
